DIY Printable Animal Sewing Cards

Wed, Jan 29, 2014 | DIY Projects

Sewing cards are very fun! You will need printable animal stitching cards, scissors, straight pin, needle and embroidery floss. Print the stitching cards onto card stock and cut them apart. Use a straight pin or a sharp needle to poke holes in the card stock at each end of the stitch marks on the animal you are working on. Cut a piece of embroidery floss in a color that matches the fur on your choice of animal and separate out three strands of the floss. Thread your needle and tie a knot at one end of the floss. Start stitching, making one straight stitch on each fur line. Read the rest of the tutorial here and finish the cards!

Non-Typical Girls Bedroom In Blue Shades

Tue, Jan 28, 2014 | Kids room

Of course when we think about a girl’s room we imagine a bedroom in pink shades and with beautiful roses. But sometimes we need to risk and make something different, for example,  use blue shades that are thought to be ideal only for boys. But look at these wonderful pics and you will be convinced of how great they can work in a girl’s room! There is a lot of blue color with inserts of crimson. I think it was very hard to find furniture in blue shades but now it looks very nice and soft. And if you add some girlish accessories like toys and flowers you will get a very stylish bedroom for your baby girl! Get inspired!

All White Modern Baby Boy’s Nursery Design To Get Inspired

Mon, Jan 27, 2014 | Kids room

SISSY + MARLEY’s kids room designs are usually very inspirational, so I’m really glad to share with you photos of their new project. This time they’re playing off a safari theme, which is kinda usual for a boy’s room. Well, yeah, this room is literally filled with animal toys that decorate the space, but it doesn’t feel like it’s actually overrun with a menagerie. The nursery is very light, neutral, really modern, subtle and sophisticated. And once again SISSY + MARLEY talented team proves that they always perfectly know how to find the most beautiful pieces and combine them together just right. Take a look and tell me what you think!

Creatively Bright Baby’s Nursery Design To Get Inspired

Sat, Jan 25, 2014 | Kids room

I truly love this nursery design because it combines two of my favorite trends in children’s rooms: clean aesthetic of white space and sort of a rainbow of bold colors. The rooms is really bright, sweet and fun without being at all cloying, and it’s gender-neutral. What caught my attention in a first place is probably an amazing wall feature that parents was fortunate to get from J. Crew store, while they were taking their window display down. Although there’re lots of colors, it combines perfectly with baby’s blanket, mobile and all of the creative and bright artworks around the room. I believe baby would be really happy here, don’t you think?

Great Sorting Game For A Little One To Play And Learn

Fri, Jan 24, 2014 | 0-2, 2-4

Sorting games are ones that provide your kid not only an interesting play but also a key to successful thinking and learning. There’re limitless ways to practice these skills and today we want to share one of them. The thing you need to get started is a sorting box, and I think it won’t be difficult to build it. Just make sure that the inner sections are different in size but each of them has a symmetrical pair. After constructing the box, you need to just put on the bottom of each section a sheet of colored paper. Then just prepare some toys, pens and other simple objects of colors that you’ve chosen and put them in some basket to let your kid sort it all out by color. So, to the whole game succeed, you can show your interest and answer your kid’s questions but don’t dictate the play. Enjoy!

Pretty Turquoise Nursery On A Small Budget

Thu, Jan 23, 2014 | Kids room

Anna Tovar from Denton, TX, made by herself souch a sweet and cute room for her baby girl Eden!  Anna didn’t have too much money so she had to use more creativity for this room. This nursery is very quiet, but turquoise shades and some original details attract attention. White curtains add freshness and ease to this room and make it bigger. Interesting details like pictures on the walls or pillows make the room very fun. Of course it’s a very stylish nursery and can be comfortable for kids of all ages. Anna was definitely able to prove to everyone that a small budget does not mean that you have to sacrifice on design.
