DIY Memory Game For Your Kids’ Development

Tue, May 6, 2014 | DIY Projects

Everybody loves this game, kids can spend many hours playing it! It’s a fun, time tested and developing game for toddlers. You will need 1/4 inch MDF or any smooth, thin board, paints, clear coat, saw and sanding block. Coat the MDF board with a thin coat of white paint. After that dry, mark off the memory squares, 2″ x 2″. For top-side design use a heart punch to punch 30 hearts, one for each square. Paint a red block in the center of each square, a little larger than the heart. When the red paint will dry, lightly swipe each heart with a glue stick to temporarily stick it in the center of the red portion. The rest of the tutorial is here.

Perfect And Fun Dinosaur Themed Birthday Party Inspiration

Mon, May 5, 2014 | Party theme

Your kid’s interests are the key to arranging a great birthday party for him or her. For example, mom Maureen Anders created a classic museum look for her son’s 6th birthday, because she knew how he adores all about dinosaurs and Museums of Natural History. I’m really thrilled by the work that she’s done, because every detail here is thought over from embroidered “Dig team” shirts and hats for kids to dinosaur cake and Dinosaur Excavation Kit, which includes sticks and brushes. And how cool is The Dinosaur Coloring Wall poster! Looks like the coolest party around, right? Take a look and get inspired!

Mint And Grey Baby Girl Room Design By Little Liberty

Wed, Apr 30, 2014 | Kids room

I’m always excited about Australian designer Little Liberty’s new design projects for kids’ rooms, and guess what? She just finished one for a baby girl! I’m happy to share the photos of it with you today! It’s really nice that there’re no typical pink shades in a space for a little princess. Instead there’s such a warm, inviting and calming color palette of gorgeous grey and mint. I’m already in love with the accent wall design with little white raindrops. All of the décor pieces as usual in Little Liberty’s rooms are the sweetest from the clever mint bookshelf tree and the animal print rug to the whimsy chandelier and pillows. Take a look and get inspired!

Girly And Whimsy Girl’s Room Design Inspiration

Tue, Apr 29, 2014 | Kids room

The kid’s room, photos of which we’re sharing today, is in a rental home. And we all know that in a rental home your creative ideas for the space design are limited, especially if you have strict landlords. However, this room perfectly proves that you don’t necessarily need to make any big and permanent changes to create a beautiful room for your child. There’re many things that I love about this space from a polka dot wall and a lovely marquee letter to the geometric mobile and dress rack. The room amazingly reflects baby girl Addison’s happy, imaginative and playful spirit. Take a look!

Colorful DIY Lollipop Balloons For A Kids’ Party

Mon, Apr 28, 2014 | DIY Projects, Party theme

This craft is so easy-to-make and so creative! You can try to repeat it for your kids’ birthday party, they will be delighted! You will need balloons, cellophane, dowels, paintbrush, scissors, black tape, white paint and string. Paint the dowels white and let them dry thoroughly. Wrap the black tape around the top of the dowel and then continue wrapping down until the end. Blow up the balloons. Tape around the end of the balloon to the top of the dowel. Cut a square piece of cellophane large enough to wrap around the balloon and gather at the bottom. Secure the wrapped cellophane with a piece of string and cut off the ends. Fluff the cellophane a bit to give it some shape. Voila! Your lollipop balloons are ready!
