Travelling to unexpected and beautiful spaces always gives us inspiration. So, after a trip through Scandinavian forests parents of little baby boy Jayan decided to mark his very first birthday with ‘woodland explorer’ themed room. They basically imagined the whole story about the Scandinavian forest inhabited with bears, badgers and stags and a young explorer which came to join them and set up camp. The room just perfectly reflects this fascinating idea and story, and I’m just in love with all of its whimsy, fancy and really pretty details. My favorite one is probably this cozy ‘twigwam’ with fairy lights for under-the-stars feel. Take a peek to the gallery below for all of the photos, they’re fantastic!

Super Easy DIY Tent For Kids
If your kids like to spend their summer time outdoors, this idea is for you! You can make a simple tent for them and they can play, have a picnic or just read there. It looks like a teepee, but very easy-to-make. You will need big sheets, some blankets, rope and kids’ toys. You can tie some rope between two trees. Now take sheets, split the seams on three sides, stitch together. Then on the opposite sides sew three loops of ribbons on each. Hang the sheet over the rope, then pull the sides out and peg them into the ground. Enjoy!
Funny And Adorable DIY Honeycomb Characters
Aren’t these honeycomb balls cute? They’re very popular in Sweden, and today we suggest you to make some with your kids. You need some pictures of characters that you like (from children’s books, for example), honeycomb paper, scissors, glue and double-sided tape. Begin with cutting out the characters you’ve chosen and making them more stable, gluing them on to pieces of cardboard, if needed. Once dry, cut them out of the cardboard. Then make a template out of a piece of paper, so that you can see that the template covers the area you want to dress. Fold the template and cut out the shape in the honeycomb paper. Attach the honeycomb shape to your characters with double-sided tape. Voila!
Simple DIY Wax Boats For Fun
Kids really like to design and build boats, especially boys. So today you can make boats from wax. You will need wax from Babybel Cheese, toothpick for the mast, triangle of paper for the sail and water to sail your little boat. All you need to do is simply warm the wax in your hands. Kids can make various boats from wax. Also if you want to make a new design, just squish the wax and rebuild your boat. Kids can add a little tooth pick mast and a paper sail. You should know the best part of it, the wax is water proof. Making it perfect for a little friendly race in water! If you want to sail your little boat in a pond or a large area of water, make sure to add a little string.
Awesome SlideRaider For Kids Indoor Playing
For those of you who have a house with stairs this SlideRider would be such a salvation on dreary rainy days! As soon as you little ones know about such thing, I’m sure they’d beg you for it, because it provides hours of active fun. The SlideRider is basically a set of folding mats made from a lightweight but rigid type of foam with bumpers along the sides for proper safety. Once your kids stop playing, you can easily fold the SlideRider into smaller sections and collapse into a storage bin at the top of the stairs. Awesome, isn’t it?
Three Little Pigs DIY Glove Puppets
Have you heard about Three Little Pigs? Of course, yes. So today we offer you to make glove puppets based on this fairy tale. You will need a children’s glove, new kitchen sponges, foam sheets, googly eyes, tacky glue and scissors. First find an old glove, and gather the rest of your materials. Cut your shapes out of the sponges to begin adding the feature details. Once you have your faces cut out you can start adding ears, noses and mouths. Foam is pretty easy for children to cut. Next add the eyes. Once the faces are all on, go ahead and glue them right onto each finger of the glove. Let’s play!
Cozy Boys Room Design Filled With Vintage Elements
If you really like rooms filled with vintage furniture as much as we do, welcome to the gallery below! I personally think this boys’ room is absolutely gorgeous. It’s kind of warm, cozy and homely due to all of these sweet vintage details. They’re all from their mom’s childhood, and by incorporating them into her children’s room she basically shared a bit of her experience as a kid and showed the toys that she used to enjoy playing. Just imagine how great it will be to see your tots having fun with them just like you did when you were at their age! It’s certainly a room with a character, so take a moment to look at its photos.
Amazing And Modern Kids Room Design From Poland
Often when we talk about kids’ rooms we mention that they have some specific style according to the country where they were designed. So, a certain picture of a kid’s room appears in our minds when we say “a room in Scandinavian style”, for example. It’s good that we’re discovering more and more design ideas from other countries, and in today’s article we share photos of this tasteful bedroom from Poland. What catches the eye at first is light, modern, innovative, even sort of futuristic furniture. I’m in love with this bunk bed! When you continue looking into the room through the photos, you find even more absolutely amazing things, like those crazily cool curtains, lovely world map, open doll house aka shelves and more. Take a look!
Chic DIY Gemstone Pencils
It’s so nice when you can make something original from simple things. So if you have 5 minutes of free time and your kids like wonderful crafts, this idea is for you! You will need just craft glue, pencils and sequins or gems. First of all add a little dash of glue to the bottom of your pencil. Then you need to place your sequin or gem on top and hold for a minute of so. Now place it aside to dry and for the next couple of minutes just press down on it firmly from time to time. Your new pencils are ready!
Interesting DIY Felt Ball Shooters
These felt ball shooters are a great indoor activity to keep the kids occupied while they have a summer vacation. You will need paper cups, balloons, craft knife, scissors, contact paper, hole punch and felt balls. Using the x-acto knife cut out the bottom of the cup. Tie a knot into the deflated balloon. Just like you normally would but without all the hot air. Grab your scissors and cut the top part of the balloon off. The cut off end is what you will stretch over the cup. Also you can decorate your cups! You can use some contact paper and a hole punch to make little polka dots.
