Colorful And Pretty DIY Hot Air Balloon Garland

Fri, Jul 4, 2014 | DIY Projects

Sometimes all you need to do to make a kid’s room a bit fancier is just to add a bright and colorful detail, like this hot air balloon garland, which you can easily make on your own. It takes patience to make it, but the result is just thrilling! Supplies are a circle punch, a heart punch, card stock, fishing wire and some hot glue. Basically, to make one balloon you’ll need 3 circles and 3 decorative hearts as well. All in all, you need to punch 12 circles and 12 hearts for one garland, but you can make more or less of them, depending on your wish for it to be longer or shorter. Read all of the instructions at hellobee.com and get it started!

Funny DIY Paper Pinwheels

Fri, Jul 4, 2014 | DIY Projects

It’s summertime, so don’t stay at home and go with your kids outside and play with cool pinwheels! You will need paper, pins, pencil, scissors and markers. Gather your materials. Cut your paper into a 6×6 inch square. Using markers decorate your paper with shapes, flowers, letters and rainbows! Then use scissors to make a small cut at every corner. Make the cut about 3-inches long towards the center of the paper. If you want to reinforce the strength of the paper, cut a smallish circle out of the scraps, and poke a pin into the center of it. Beginning at one corner and alternating at every corner bend the paper up and carefully poke the pin through underside. Finish the project reading in the source.

Thu, Jul 3, 2014 | Kids room

Looking at this room photos it’s easy to guess that it was inspired by functional and modern Scandinavian style with its traditional black and white color scheme. With those mint touches the room really brightens up and gets a very sweet and cozy effect. As for specific furniture pieces and decorations, I’m really fond of stylish white round crib with lovely cloud pillow, wonderful rocking chair for some relaxing moments and simple shelves filled with sweet things like this cute, tiny door on the shelf. Take a closer look to the photos in the gallery below and tell me if something here inspired you.

Simple And Creative DIY Memory Game For Kids

Tue, Jul 1, 2014 | DIY Projects

Most of all I like two things about this game: first, it requires from a child to be imaginative when creating these characters by using geometrical shapes and second, it really improves kids’ memory. To make it you’ll need a pair of scissors, card or thick paper, colorful paper, glue, pencil, marker and ruler. First with a ruler and a pencil make a grid of 20 squares or so. Then cut out from colorful paper different geometrical shapes in pairs and have fun creating the characters together with your kid. If you like, you can draw the details like faces, claws, etc. Shuffle the cards, lay them out face down in rows on the table and let the game begin!

Interesting DIY Tic Tac Toe Game For Kids

Sat, Jun 28, 2014 | DIY Projects

Do your kids like games? Look at this tic tac toe game, your kids will play it all day long! For this project you will need twelve 1″ wooden discs, stamp pad, alphabet stamps (letters X and O), wool felt, muslin bag, pencil, ruler and sewing machine. To begin, stamp both sides of 6 wooden discs with the letter X. Next, stamp both sides of the remaining wooden discs with the letter O. Cut a 3″X3″ piece from the wool felt. Using a pencil, lightly mark 1″ guide lines on the wool felt. Stitch over the guide lines with your sewing machine to create the game board. If you don’t own a sewing machine, you can easily use a permanent marker to create the grid lines. Trim the excess thread. Voila!
