Very Cute DIY Tissue Paper Baby Chicks

Tue, Nov 11, 2014 | DIY Projects

You and your kids can create these fluffy little baby chicks very fast! So don’t waste your time and make it! You will need cardstock (yellow, orange), pipe cleaners (orange), tissue paper (or crepe paper, yellow), scissors, glue, googly eyes and feathers. First gather the materials for this project. Next cut a medium-sized circle out of the yellow cardstock for the chick’s body. Then begin cutting your tissue paper (or crepe paper) into small square pieces. Now cover the yellow paper circle with glue. Taking your little yellow squares of tissue paper, scrunch them up and stick them on the yellow paper circle. Keep doing this until the whole circle will be full of fluffy pieces of tissue paper. The rest of the tutorial is here.

Amusing DIY Wooden Snowmen Garland For A Kids’ Room

Tue, Nov 11, 2014 | DIY Projects

This garland will add some Christmas spirit to your kids’ room. Let’s make it! For this craft you will need wooden sticks, white paint (red optional), knit gloves, pom poms, flannel material (cut in strips), orange marker, thread, scissors, sand paper, glue gun, X-acto knife and large needle. Paint the sticks white on both sides. When they will dry, sand the edges a little for a cleaner look. Cut the finger tips off the knit gloves to make hats. Attach pom poms to make them even cuter. Use the X-acto knife to cut triangles for darling ‘carrot’ noses. Use the permanent marker to make them orange. Wrap each snowy guy with a flannel scarf. Then string them up on the thread. Voila!

Fresh And Modern Geometric Small Nursery Design Inspiration

Mon, Nov 10, 2014 | Kids room

If you’re dealing with a small space for your tot and looking for some cool ways to organize and design it well, today’s room will certainly give you some inspiration. I really love its neutral colors, which brings calm and relax feel to the place and make it seem a bit bigger. Parents wanted their baby nursery to be contemporary, clean and modern, so a geometrical pattern seemed to be a perfect choice. There’re many great design solutions here, but the ones I love the most are those built-in dresser and conversely protruding rectangular colorful shelves. Take a look at the photos and see what’s the most amazing and inspiring for you here.

Bright DIY Neon Nursery Wall Hooks

Fri, Nov 7, 2014 | DIY Projects

When designing a neutral color nursery or an eclectic space one of the most important things is to put accents carefully. If you feel like you need something to make your kid’s room pop, you can make this fun neon wall hook rack. It looks really creative, unusual and certainly adds that necessary bright splash to the space. The supplies are a pack of animals (you can find them on Amazon), hot pink and white spray paints, a piece of wood, glue, saw, screwdriver and sandpaper. Well, first you need to cut your animal heads with a saw and spray paint them hot pink. Then sand the wood well, paint it white and install hardware on the back for hanging on the wall. Glue the inside rim of the cut animals and adhere to the wood. Voila!

Fun DIY Reindeer Bottle Cap Necklace For Kids

Fri, Nov 7, 2014 | DIY Projects

We’ve recently given you an idea how you can make a turkey bottle cap necklace. Now you can go for winter crafts and create a reindeer bottle cap necklace for your kids. You will need bottle cap, spray paint (or spray glitter), googly eyes, felt and jump ring and necklace string. Use glitter to coat the bottle cap, after priming it in white. When it’ll dry, use a nail and hammer to make holes for the jump ring. You can make two holes and loop the jump ring through both. Add googly eyes and a red circle nose. Attach the antlers and hang it on a string. Ta-dah!

Funny DIY Wooden Blocks With Faces

Thu, Nov 6, 2014 | DIY Projects

Today’s project is fun both to make and play and it’s all about mixing and matching some funny faces. It’s something really entertaining and cool and it’ll keep your kids busy for hours. To make these face wooden blocks you need 25 wooden blocks, paint in various colors, paintbrushes, painter’s tape and pencil. First you need to figure out what face you want to create, so drew out a 5×5 grid on paper and draw the face the way you like. Then draw that face on the blocks, following the shapes you drew on the grid. Paint each piece, so that each face is covered in two layers of paint. Read what to do next at mycakies.com.
