DIY Pine Cone Fairy Family To Play With Your Kids

Wed, Nov 19, 2014 | DIY Projects

If your kids like to play with toys, make this adorable fairy family. For this craft you will need just pinecones, felt, pipe cleaners, wired ribbon (optional), wooden doll heads and markers. Affix the heads onto the pine cones first. Glue them directly onto the pine cone. Then you can use pipe cleaners as cute arms. Then glue funny little hats. For making hats you need to cut a triangle out of felt and sew up one side with embroidery thread and a needle. Now kids can help you and draw faces and hair. You can also add wings from felt. Let your kids have fun!

If you want to foster your child’s imagination, her or his room should be creative and filled with developing games that are easily accessible. Today’s room represents it perfectly. Mercie Ghimire wanted her daughter’s room to reflect her free spirit and love exploring her environment. So, it’s not overflowing with toys or bold colors, but rather with pieces that hold a personal significance and let her child enough possibilities for an imaginative play. I really love the idea of little bright accents here and there and most of all turquoise ceiling – so much fun! Scroll down to see all of the angles and aspects of the room, captured so beautifully on the photos. Get inspired!

Funny DIY Paper Wreath For A Kids’ Party

Tue, Nov 18, 2014 | DIY Projects

You need decorations for every kid’s party, so today you take a look and try to repeat this idea. You will need one 9”x18” sheet of green construction paper and scrap paper of any color you’d like for bows, berries and others. First take the green paper and fold it in half. Then draw a line along the length that is open about 1-2 inches away from the edge. Now draw tic marks every half-inch along the top and the bottom. You can make these marks one-inch apart for younger kids, but the narrower they are, the “lacier” your wreath will turn out in the end. The rest of the tutorial is here.

Adorable DIY Miffy Lamp For A Kid’s Room

Tue, Nov 18, 2014 | DIY Projects, Lamps

I love people who can make out of simple objects something creative and fun. This Miffy Lamp was once just a simple Fado lamp from IKEA, and now it’s the cutest bunny, which not only lights up the space but also elate your mood as soon as you walk into the room. There’s basically nothing to explain, the tutorial is as easy as pie. Here’s what you need to do exactly: draw and cut out large ears from a white cardboard and glue them on the lamp; then draw two dots and a cross with a black sharpie. Voila! Looks so adorable, doesn’t it?

Original DIY Snowman To Make With Kids

Mon, Nov 17, 2014 | DIY Projects

Winter isn’t here, isn’t it time to prepare for it? You’ll need just few minutes to make this snowman especially if your kids help you. For this project you will need white lanterns, felt (orange and red colors), double sided sticky tape, pins, black paper and scissors. You can use a large circle punch to make the eyes, mouth and buttons but also you can use just scissors for it. Cut a carrot shape for the nose and use double sided sticky tape to attach them all to the lanterns. To make the scarf use a whole A4 sized sheet of red felt and stretch it out, cut it in half lengthways and stretch it out some-more. Then attach them together with safety pins and cut each edge to look like a scarf. Now wrap it around snowman’s neck and have fun!

Bright DIY Popsicle Stick Christmas Tree To Make With Kids

Thu, Nov 13, 2014 | DIY Projects

It’s not a difficult craft so your kids can create this tree themselves. For this craft they’ll need cardstock or heavy paper, glue, scissors, marker, green popsicle sticks, popsicle sticks, sequins, star stencil (optional) and foam board (optional). Gather all supplies for project. Start by laying out your popsicle sticks on paper in the order of the tree you wish to create. Then trace a marker outline around the tree shape (it’ll help to lay out the sticks). Now remove sticks from paper. Next create lines of glue for each stick placement and lay down the popsicle sticks according to the outline. Glue, place and repeat until your tree will be done. Let your tree dry for an hour. After that decorate your tree with sequins. It’s a very good Christmas idea of decoration, isn’t it?
