“Plombir” is a kindergarten and kind of kid’s developing centre designed by young architect bureau “Rhizome Group” in Saint Petersburg, Russia. A strict and boring office of a building company they turned into a cheerful and childlike kindergarten with workshops and a cooking school for children. They had to work in rather difficult conditions and circumstances because they had a small budget, stringent health standards and fire safety requirements but they were determined to create a perfect space for kids with different zones and elements. The premises are located on different levels and linked with a unique podium which is house for play with a slide and a ladder. I’m impressed by their project and I love the way they delimited zones, added funny wall decorations, all in all made this space look really interesting and entertaining for kids. What do you think?
